Company Choreographer
Mika Mitsui will soon graduate from California State University @ Fullerton, with a BA in Child Development with an emphasis on Children’s Performing Arts and a Minor in Dance. Dancing competitively as a young child created life-long memories that Mika wanted to share with her own students some day. The Dance Captain for her 8-time National award-winning CSUF Dance Team throughout her four years in college, allowed her to travel to Florida and Las Vegas for UDA and USA championships, competing against top colleges from all over the U.S. Coming home with National Titles has been the standout memory of her college life! “I am willing to take on the responsibilities and hard work it will take in order to achieve my highest potential as both a teacher and choreographer… much like when I was working with the Fullerton Dance Team. It was tough sometimes, but the end results made it all worth it”, Mika shares. While a team member, she had the opportunity to work with top choreographers, Shane Sparks and the duo of Tabitha & Napoleon. While in college, she worked for Disney, performing in The Parade of Stars, A Christmas Fantasy, Parade of Dreams, High School Musical, Block Party Bash, and Pixar Play. As a lead Disney dancer, Mika had the opportunity to perform on The Regis & Kelly Show. Giving back to her community, she has supported numerous benefit events for The American Heart Association and The Dance of Hope. The highlights of her performing career was dancing with recording artist, Ashanti and touring the US as a back-up dancer for Cheetah Girl, Sabrina Bryan. Mika plans to attain her Teaching Credential and become and Elementary school teacher. “I have been blessed with the wonderful opportunity to be a part of a studio with a great staff and wonderful kids. Teaching dance to my loving students at Dellos has been an ultimate, true blessing!”
